Is This The Future Of Magazines?

Well, I certainly got excited when the magazine cover turned into video. What about you?

Nothing can beat the tactile feel of a fleshy magazine…but the interactive features that would become available would certainly make the whole experience a lot more engaging and fun! Especially in a lads mag…Monkey Magazine are doing something similar, just not quite on a touch screen tablet!

If Monkey came to my iPhone and was viewable without signal (i.e. on the tube) as an interactive app, I would read it more. I sometimes tend to ignore it.

That would be a fantastic idea for a lot of magazines…maybe a bite-sized version? And very doable I reckon. I get the emails from Monkey but RARELY click through, and the couple of times I have, the experience has left a lot to be desired. It seems to lack integrity, maybe that is more the content shining through though, as apposed to the presentation and interactivity.
