Here at Loaded, my telephone is ringing off the hook and for some reason everyone in PR is convinced I’m penning some kind of gift guide for loved ones, in the notorious lad’s magazine.

Work on the Loaded Xmas gift guide is going well
This was my last conversation today, because I’ve put my phone onto voicemail:
(me) Hello, Loaded.
(girl)“I’d like to speak to someone about your Christmas Gift Guide.”
How do you know we’re doing one?
“I don’t.”
Okay, is it a Christmas product?
“No.”
Is it coming out at Christmas?
“No, it’s out this week.”
In October.
“Yes, but it might make a nice gift at Christmas.”
Okay, what is it?
“It’s a DVD.”
And would it suit Loaded’s readers?
“No, but it might be a great gift for a loved one.”
What’s the DVD called?
“Thomas and Friends.”
Right.
Is it too much to ask for people to draw up a list of relevant media targets rather than ringing everyone? For the record, the girl had a lovely voice, and I actually LOVE Thomas the Tank Engine.
