I was in New York at the weekend on a story, and I took my camera. Some more snaps available on my Flikr page.
I told everyone on the press trip I had an underwater camera, but when I got it out, they just said: “That’s not an underwater camera, that’s a plastic bag!” Okay, so it was. I bought it from Hong Kong online, and it is just a fancy zip lock bag…with velcro and zips and stuff to keep your camera dry.

My underwater zip lock bag!
It took a brave dry run to really trust it enough to dive off a boat with my beloved Canon S80 inside. Anyway, these are some of the better photographs. I remembered when I got back that my camera does video too…blast!

Alright, I entered a photography competiton. I took this in Ibiza in 2006, in front of cafe Mambo. I feel at an unfair advantage because I was under the influence at the time, so as such, should I win the glam prize of a new digital camera I shall donate it back to the charity, the PSP Association. That’s for sufferers of a terrible disease, not the portable games console.

An eBay trawl found some Hong Kong-made lens add-ons for my Canon Powershot S80. It already takes some pretty sweet photographs, but with these stick on bits of tat I have the ability to take underwater photos, wide angle stuff, macro (close up) and even fish eye. £80 all in, plus a ridiculous £25 customs surcharge.
Like a Canon S80 with a huge erection.
